Incompatible cartridges

HP Envy 5530

I have an HP Envy 5530 that I bought in Singapore. I have now moved to France and cannot buy the HP 61 ink cartridges here. I've been told to buy HP 301 but these are "Incompatible". How can I change the setting so that I can use this thing!!?!?! It is out of warranty so haven't been able to speak to support and the chat bots haev so far been useless, any ideas?

I understand your concern regarding the HP Virtual Assistant. Thank you for the feedback. I will forward it to the respective team in HP and check the area of improvement.

 

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.  

  

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.  

  

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link
