Hi there!

 

just spent well over $100 on two new XL HP ink cartridges (black and color) and both were working fine, suddenly getting error message that  I need to remove and install indicated cartridge (color) to ensure it is correctly installed. I’ve removed and replaced and did a hard reset as well as cleaned the cartridge to ensure no dried ink is on the connector. Any suggestions?

If you have already performed the steps from the document Ink cartridge errors: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04100778 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
