Photosmart 6520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Several years ago I purchased two HP computers and two HP Photosmart 6520 printers. One was for myself and one for my mother.  For the past year or so I've used Onn remanufactured cartridges as replacement for the original HP 564 cartridges. I recently replaced the Black cartridge with a new HP cartridge.  After cleaning heads, aligning cartridges. etc., the test pages were streaked.  Assuming printer failure, I connected my mothers (passed away in 2019) printer and installed the cartridges from my printer. I receive a message that the Black cartridge needs to be replaced. The color cartridges show acceptable ink levels. The new Black cartridge shows no level at all, as if not recognized. I stumbled through the settings and see that the cartridge protection is disabled. Any advice? Thanks,
