Ink Cartridge levels gone

HP Recommended
Officejet 6700
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The color ink cartridges depleted  after a single color picture. Reloaded firmware but problem still exist. Ink seems to just disappear on its own. Cartridges haven't reached there expiration date. This is the second time this has happened. I'm the only person that uses the printer so I know that I printed color once with this set of cartridges. The last time I looked it showed a single color fully depleted. Now it shows two colors depleted with a bit of Cyan remaining.
