I bought a Hewlett Packard ink cartridge but it's not working. It keeps asking me to reinstall correctly, however, it can only be installed one way. This is the second one that I bought but the first one I didn't have a problem. Is it being disabled? Don't understand why it's not accepting a genuine HP cartridge.

@CharleneG

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Have you tried cleaning the ink cartridge nozzles?
  • Have you tried updating the printer firmware?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_1721989-1461843-16 Ink cartridge errors.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
