HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer

Hello,

The printer has been saying the cartridge is stuck etc. we have tried everything suggested in your help and support and nothing is working. It still says error. My husband noticed that the black in cartridge look like it is burned out even though it has ink. Can we sent in new replacements for both color and black ink cartridge?

Hi @H_pWiff,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP Envy 6055 All-in-One Printer is showing a "cartridge is stuck" error and you've already tried troubleshooting steps without success, it’s possible that:

  1. The cartridge is defective or burned out (as your husband noticed).
  2. The printer's cartridge contacts are dirty or damaged.
  3. There is a hardware issue with the printer.

Steps to Try Before Replacing the Cartridge

1. Check the Cartridge Contacts

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the cartridge access door and remove the cartridges.
  • Check the gold contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer for dirt or ink buildup.
  • Gently clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth and distilled water or isopropyl alcohol.
  • Let them dry, then reinsert the cartridges and restart the printer.

2. Reset the Printer

  • Unplug the power cord while the printer is on.
  • Wait 60 seconds and then plug it back in.
  • Restart the printer and see if the error clears.

3. Try a Different Cartridge (If Available)

  • If you have an old working cartridge, insert it to see if the issue is specific to the new one.

Let me know if you need help with any of these steps! 😊
