hp deskjet ink advantage 3835

I ran out of ink so I bought a new set of inks to the mall. I didn't know what to buy specifically, as I forgot to bring my old ones. However, I told the sales clerk that they are for the hp desk jet 3835 printer. I got the 680 and then put them in my printer but the printer said that the ink cartridges are incompatible. Please help.

I saw that the old ink was 652.

@zayu, Welcome to HP Support Community!

If you have moved countries, the printer cartridges used will not be the same. Find below the table that has details fo supported cartridges as per regions-

To be able to assist you better, I'd like to know the following-

Where is the printer located? Did you relocate with the printer?

If yes, we need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
