HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer

I'm using HP cartridges in my DeskJet 2755e All-in-One printer and they last about 20 pages, even though the HP Smart app says they are full.   Cartridges are way too expensive for this!  

 

Any thoughts?

It seems your HP DeskJet 2755e may be facing either inefficient ink usage or software misreads of the ink levels. To troubleshoot, you could start by checking the cartridge health through a Print Quality Diagnostic Report. If there are streaks or faded sections, you might try cleaning the printhead via the HP Smart App under Printer Settings.

Adjusting print settings could also help, using "Draft Mode" for non-essential documents or printing in grayscale when color isn’t necessary are good options to conserve ink. If the issue persists, resetting the printer by unplugging it for five minutes and reinstalling the cartridges after gently cleaning the metal contacts with a dry cloth may resolve it.

Lastly, a faulty cartridge could be the culprit, so testing with another HP 67 or HP 67XL cartridge might be a good step.
