@Nancy1980, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding E0 Error on HP Printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you encounter an E0 error after installing new ink cartridges in your HP ENVY 6000 or 6400 printer, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Remove and Reseat the Ink Cartridges
- Lift the ink cartridge access door until it locks into place.
- Wait until the carriage is idle and silent.
- Remove the cartridges carefully without touching the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles.
- Lower the ink cartridge access door.
- Press the Power button at the rear of the printer to turn the printer off.
- Wait for 12 minutes before pressing the Power button to turn the printer on again.
- Wait until the carriage is idle and silent, displaying an E0 error on the control panel.
- Lift the ink cartridge access door again.
- Reseat the ink cartridges snugly in the cartridges slots.
- Lower the ink cartridge access door again.
Reset the Printer
- Open Embedded Web Server (EWS). For instructions on accessing EWS
- On the EWS page, navigate to Settings > Restore Defaults > Restore Factory Defaults.
- Wait for the printer to restart, entering Wi-Fi setup mode (front light pulses purple).
- Open the HP Smart app, right-click or long press the printer name, then select Hide Printer.
- Click Add Printer or the plus sign and complete the setup in HP Smart.
- Try printing a test page to verify the issue is resolved.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
