Hi @Ssab2,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're having an issue with your printer's ink cartridges, specifically with color and black ink not registering.
Could you please elaborate more? May I know if you get any cartridge errors? Are you trying to enroll in Instant Ink?
In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed. Open the printer cover, carefully remove the cartridges, and then reinsert them securely.
Remove Protective Tape: Many ink cartridges come with a protective tape that needs to be removed before installation. Double-check to make sure all protective tapes or covers have been removed.
Clean Cartridge Contacts: Turn off the printer and unplug it. Remove the ink cartridges and clean the metal contacts on both the cartridges and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth. Be gentle to avoid damaging the contacts.
Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model.
Perform a Print Head Alignment: Your printer may have an option to align the print heads. This can usually be done through the printer settings or control panel. Follow the instructions in your printer's manual to perform a print head alignment. You may check in HP website
Check Ink Levels: Make sure that the ink cartridges have sufficient ink levels. Some printers display ink levels on the control panel or through the printer software. Replace any cartridges that are low or empty.
Reset Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. Power on the printer and check if the issue persists.
I hope this helps
Take care and have a good day.
