My black insta ink black cartridge has a continual "Cartridge Problem" that won't clear. I've done all the troubleshooting and contact with the Insta Ink support and the tech support to no avail. You know, clean the contacts, reset, etc. Support says get a new printer (mine is 2 1/2 years od and out of warrantee. Which really sucks. HP printers should last longer! I can still print with the color cartridge, but aha! Insta ink will not send me any more ink because of the issue with the black cartridge.

I'm thinking that maybe I can clean the print head that is at the bottom of the ink cartridge bay. Support never mentioned this and I didn't think to ask.

I see that there are third part cleaning kits on Amazon. Has anyone every gone this route successfully?

Is my problem maybe something else?
