HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8610. I cannot print. The screen on the printer is telling me to go to HPinstatntink.com, but doesn't tell me what the problem is. My ink levels are above average. I do have Instant ink cartridges currently in the printer. Why has my service been suspended?

Hi @Pacificrim,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Officejet Pro 8610 is displaying a message instructing you to go to "HPinstantink.com," there might be an issue related to your Instant Ink subscription or printer connectivity. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet. You can try printing a network configuration or test page from the printer's control panel to see if it's connected properly.
  • Verify Instant Ink Subscription: Log in to your HP Instant Ink account at "HPinstantink.com" and check your subscription status. Make sure your printer is enrolled correctly, and there are no issues with your account or payment information.
  • Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve communication issues.
  • Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can visit the official HP website and search for your printer model to find the latest firmware updates. Follow the instructions to update it if needed.
  • Check Cartridge Installation: Confirm that the Instant Ink cartridges are correctly installed in their respective slots. You can try removing and reinserting them to ensure a proper connection.
  • Perform a Printer Test: Many printers have a built-in self-test or diagnostic feature. Check your printer's user manual for instructions on how to run a test or diagnostic report. This can help identify any specific issues with the printer itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
