Ink not lasting

Hi..

I have just purchased an office jet pro 9720e which has had very little use, however I have already had to change 3 cartridges cost around £70?? 

Is anyone experiencing the same issue or have I got a faulty printer??

any advice would be greatly appreciated..

True - By volume, printer Ink is one of the more expensive products on the planet.

Although far less likely than any other reason for the printer using more ink than expected, is possible the printer is faulty.

In general, if the printer is aware of a fault, it will provide some kind of error message or refuse to print.

More common reasons include the amount of ink included in standard size cartridges and the way ink is used by the printer.

The printer is a larger model -- it is capable of printing A3 size paper -- larger projects might generally require more ink.

You can somewhat reduce the amount of color ink used by printing in Black and White or Grayscale.
