Hello, I canceled instant ink a while ago and put in new cartridges this week but the printer is identifying them as instant ink cartridges and I can’t print anything? 
any idea why or more importantly how to correct this issue?  It’s a 6200 series home printer.

If your HP ENVY Photo 6200 All-in-One Printer is still identifying the cartridges as instant ink cartridges after you canceled the instant ink service, there are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue.

 

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Check if the issue persists.

Reset the Cartridges:

  • Remove the instant ink cartridges from the printer.
  • Power off the printer.
  • Wait for a minute, then power on the printer.
  • Reinsert the new cartridges and check if the printer recognizes them correctly.

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Visit the HP support website and check for any available firmware updates for your printer model.

Reset the Printer to Factory Settings:

  • Consult your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. This process varies by model, so it's essential to follow the specific steps for your HP ENVY Photo 6200.
