Installed new HP cartridges. wont print. "A problem has occurred and you won't be able to print......."
Status shows no ink just dots or dashed.
Conveniently .. warranty expired in June 2024!
Shut off waited then on.
Unplugged waited then on
Won't print test page.
Won't do anything but not print

No instructions needed. I have the old Instant ink cartridges, a new shipment just received and in my printer, the new cartridges I bought from Office Max for $86.00+ and the printer is again working no thanks to HP.
Ticked off customer with 3 HP computers and 3 HP printers. This was the only one with Instant Ink.
Need to rethink buying HP again. Very bad customer relations with forcing products on us.
Yuck

Hi @tultalk1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
Follow the steps below-
Reset the printer
- Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
If the issue persists, I recommend you contact phone support for service options.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Well, I got it figured out. I was billed $66+ for instant ink. Printer kept screwing up. Print 1/2 page then stop. Had to turn off and on. Over and over until all those messed p pages were counted and I was billed for overage. Cancelled Instant Ink. Once cancelled printer would not print with the instant ink cartridges in place. Bought new cartridges from Office Max and back to printing. ($86). HP is absurd. Not only do I have the last new set of instant ink, I received another set yesterday. Useless.
HP has turned into a really nasty company to deal with. Not engineers. Marketing BS. Last HP printer I will buy. Always used HP. Have 3 HP computers and 2 HP printers currently. I bought my son an HP printer with instant in. Fortunately he failed to register it and get on the "HP screw the customer" list.
Very disillusioned with HP.
