Hello
I have HP Office Jet Pro 8022 for which I have used HP instant ink.
After some time I had to cancel it for a couple of months and now when I try to enroll again I get the error code GCAG001.

Does anyone know what should I do?

Hi @VVRLIKA,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code GCAG001 that you're encountering while trying to re-enroll in HP's Instant Ink service typically indicates an issue with the printer's connection to the HP Instant Ink service. This could be due to various reasons such as problems with your printer’s online status, account issues, or connectivity problems. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve this issue:

Check Printer Connectivity: Ensure that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8022 is connected to the internet. You can check the connection status on the printer's display or by accessing the printer's web interface through its IP address.

Restart Your Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. This can help reset your printer’s network connection and clear any temporary issues.

Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for updates directly from your printer’s display under the setup or maintenance menu.

Check HP Instant Ink Account Status: Log into your HP Instant Ink account online and verify that there are no holds or blocks on your account. Ensure that your account details, such as payment information, are up to date.

  • This message usually indicates a problem with HP Web Services. Follow these steps to fix the problem.
  • Check to make sure web services are enabled. Follow the steps in Cannot connect to Web Services for help with web services.
  • Finish setting up and enrolling the printer:
  • If the Instant Ink Submit Order window is still open, click Enroll.
  • If the window is not open, use the HP Smart app to set up the printer. See HP printer setup (HP Smart app) for more help.
  • If the printer is already set up but not enrolled, go to HP Instant Ink and click Sign Up Now.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
