Product: HP PageWide Pro 477dw Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have a HP PageWide Pro 477dw that I love.

 

I have installed most of the updates as they come out, but I didn't install the last one as Iread that it won't work with aftermarket Inks.

 

As a full set of OEM  Ink is MUCH more than a new printer, we use -some- aftermarket Ink (black as that is what we use a LOT of)

 

QUESTION: How do I get security and other updates for my printer that won't BORK it?

HP Recommended

It is not likely you will find firmware updates from a source other than HP for your printer. If you love your printer as it currently is I would suggest you do not update the firmware if doing so would reject the cartridges you are using.  Once an update is applied it generally cannot be undone.
