I have a defective ink cartridge that is still under warranty. I followed the directions for requesting a replacement for my defective cartridge as provided by HP expert "Bob_Headrick" in a posting to the HP Community on 7/25/2022. Unfortunately, my request was rejected by the HP Warranty department without really any explanation other than stating that I had indeed reached the warranty department but should have actually opened a chat with a "Virtual Assistant." The warranty department then promptly closed my case.

While I did not save the exact text I included in the "Contact Section" of my warranty request here is the gist of what I submitted:
I purchased a defective ink cartridge (61XL Tr-Color) which is in warranty with an expiration date of 2025/03/26. I have verified that the cartridge is defective (yellow ink does not print) by purchasing a replacement cartridge which works fine.
