I just installed a New Cyan ink cartridge. After it did its load up, it is reading 1/2 full.  All the others from the same package read 100%.  Ink is not cheap and not I am being shortchanged on it when I buy new?

I just wanted to add this from the smart app, it matches whet the printer has on it as well for levels

Try these steps:

Check for Proper Installation: Ensure that the cartridge is installed correctly. Sometimes, slight misalignments can cause the printer to misread the ink levels. Remove the cartridge and reinsert it, making sure it snaps securely into place.

Clean Cartridge Contacts: Dust or debris on the cartridge contacts can cause reading errors. Turn off the printer and gently clean the metal contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth.

Perform Printer Diagnostics: Your printer might have built-in diagnostics that can recalibrate ink level readings. Refer to the printer’s manual to identify and perform any relevant diagnostic tests.

Update Printer Firmware: Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, updates can resolve issues with ink level readings.

Reset the Printer: Try resetting the printer. Turn off the printer, unplug it, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
