The magenta cartridge in my printer is defective, it is leaving dots vertically down the page, and has 80% capacity left.

I have purchased a new cartridge, which works without any problems. If I put the old cartridge back in, the dots reappear.

How do I get this cartridge replaced under warranty? There doesn't seem to be any way to contact HP about this.

Thanks for your help

Rick

You need to create a case number at support.HP.com

Thank you for your suggestion.

There is nowhere at support.hp.com that I can enter a ticket and create a case.

When I enter my printer serial number, it tells me it is no longer under warranty, and the only option available is the 'HP Virtual Agent' which is useless in this case.

Do you have any other suggestions, or a link I could follow to create a case?

Thanks

Rick
