- Verify that the protective tabs and sealing tapes were removed from the new cartridges before installation.
Print a Calibration Page:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the "Setup" menu.
- Select "Service" and then choose "Calibration" or "Print Quality."
- Execute the printer's calibration routine to adjust color variations.
Color Setting Adjustments:

- Within the printer properties on your computer, go to the “Color” tab and adjust settings as needed.
Perform a Cleaning Routine:
- In the "Setup" menu on the printer's control panel, go to "Service" and select "Cleaning Page."
- This process may help resolve any inconsistencies in toner application.
Update Printer Firmware:

Hi @MarkL1958,
Thanks for trying the steps and getting back to us! I know how frustrating it can be when the colors still aren't printing right after replacing the toner. Let's try a couple more things to narrow this down:
1. Try Printing a Supplies Status Page:
On the printer control panel, go to Reports > Supplies Status. This will show toner levels and help check if any cartridge might be over- or under-performing.
2. Swap Cartridges (if possible):
If you have access to another set of toner cartridges (even used ones), try swapping the cyan or magenta toner. Sometimes a faulty cartridge can cause a green shift.
3. Restore Color Settings to Default:
From the printer’s Embedded Web Server (type the printer's IP in a browser), go to Settings > Color > Color Options, and restore to factory defaults.
If it's still printing too green, let me know if you’re using genuine HP toner or third-party cartridges—this can also affect print quality.
We're here with you every step of the way!
