Laserjet M436nda
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have recently bought the Hp Laserjet 436nda black and white laser printer for my photocopying business. I have already contacted the hp representative here in Greece but they couldnt help me with this issue and i dont know if the item is faulty or if i am doing something wrong. So my issue is : When i try to scan an original in landscape mode and copy it by selecting drawer 2(A4 LEF) the printout doesnt rotate to fit the page and as a result cuts the text. Also the scan stops when it reahes the A4 mark on the scanner glass so if i want to scan an A3 original i cant.I have tried all the menu options , image rotation, layout from portrait to landscape etc and the only workaround i have found is to manually do it by selecting  print from the multipurpose tray (drawer 1) putting the paper to A4 SEF or A3 . All the other printers i have used (Canon for example) have this feature automatically and since the image rotation option is in the menu then what is the problem? I cant waste time changing the paper from the drawers all the time since this affects my job.

Ps: when printing from my pc all works correctly.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, the image rotation button may be turned off of the copier itself, so the workaround is like you said, is to put the paper in the tray SEF and feed the document through the feeder SEF as well. You may have to select the tray you want, but it should automatically select the correct tray. And of-course select landscape mode in the copy settings.

Hope this helps, thanks.

Thanks for the answer. Is there a way to turn on this feature?
