Hi @Hubert121,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Low ink levels can cause print quality issues like streaks or lines.
- From the printer control panel, touch the Ink icon to check the estimated ink levels.
- Alternatively, you can check ink levels from the HP printer software installed on your computer.
Print Quality Diagnostic Report: Printing a diagnostic report can help identify any issues with the ink cartridges or printhead.
- Use the Print Quality Diagnostic tool in the printer software:
- Windows: Open the HP Smart app, select your printer, go to Print Quality Tools and then select Print Quality Report.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to print the report.
Run Printhead Cleaning: Cleaning the printhead can resolve issues caused by clogged nozzles.
- From the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel:
- Go to Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and print a sample page once the cleaning process is complete.
Align the Printhead: Alignment ensures that the ink cartridges are properly positioned and can help improve print quality.
- From the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel:
- Go to Settings > Tools > Align Printhead.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and print an alignment page.
Check Ink Cartridges Installation: Ensure that the ink cartridges are correctly installed in the printer.
- Open the Cartridge Access Door.
- Remove and reinsert each cartridge carefully to ensure they are properly seated.
Update Firmware: Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date to avoid known issues and improve functionality.
- Visit the HP Customer Support website and check for the latest firmware updates for your printer model.
- Follow the instructions to update the firmware if available.
Replace Ink Cartridges: If the issue persists after cleaning and alignment, the problem might be with the ink cartridges themselves.
- Replace the suspected faulty ink cartridge with a new genuine HP cartridge.
- Print a test page to verify if the issue is resolved.
I hope this helps.
