The printer is an HP DeskJet 3755. When I print something there are lines going horizontally down the paper, the black is worse but they all have it. I have tried cleaning the print heads 5 times it got a little better but still very visible. I tried doing a purge sheet 3 times did not change. I tried to align it and it wont let me even if that would help/

Hi @Kwax61122,
Thank you for your reply
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP DeskJet 3755 is still struggling with poor print quality despite multiple attempts at cleaning and purging. Here are some additional troubleshooting steps that could help resolve the issue:
Check for Ink Cartridge Issues:
- Sometimes, even if the print head cleaning seems to help, the issue could still be with the ink cartridges themselves. Try removing the cartridges and checking for any visible damage or dried ink.
- If the cartridges are old or low on ink, replacing them with new, genuine HP cartridges may improve print quality.
Perform a Deep Cleaning:
- If the regular print head cleaning hasn’t been effective, you might want to try a deep cleaning. Some HP printers offer a more intensive cleaning option through the printer software or the printer’s control panel. If you’re using the HP Smart app, try running the deep clean from there.
Check the Print Settings:
- Make sure you’re printing in the correct quality settings. Sometimes, print quality can be affected if the printer is set to draft or economy mode. Try printing in Best Quality mode from your printer settings to see if this improves the results.
Print a Test Page:
- Print a Printer Diagnostics Page or Test Page. This can help identify if the issue is specific to the black ink or the color cartridges. You may find that one of the cartridges is not dispensing ink properly, which could explain the lines.
Reset the Printer:
- If the alignment issue persists and the printer won’t let you align it, consider performing a factory reset on the printer. This can sometimes resolve persistent software-related issues. To reset the HP DeskJet 3755, turn it off, then hold the Cancel button and the Wireless button simultaneously for about 5 seconds.
Clean the Paper Rollers:
- Sometimes, dirty or sticky rollers can cause print quality issues, especially when lines appear on the printed page. Clean the rollers gently with a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water.
Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, a firmware update can fix bugs that might be affecting print quality or alignment.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
