Hi @Jakko1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot low print quality issues with your printer:
1. Run Print Head Cleaning
- Use your printer’s maintenance or cleaning utility to perform a print head cleaning. This can help clear any clogs in the nozzles.
2. Check Print Quality Settings
- Ensure you’re using the correct print quality settings. Select a higher quality option in the print dialog or printer preferences.
3. Print a Test Page
- Print a test page or a nozzle check to see if all the ink nozzles are functioning properly. This can help identify any issues.
4. Inspect the Ink Cartridges
- Remove the black ink cartridge and check for any protective tape or obstructions. Clean the cartridge contacts gently with a lint-free cloth.
5. Use Genuine Cartridges
- If you're using third-party cartridges, consider switching to genuine HP cartridges, as compatibility can affect print quality.
6. Check Paper Quality
- Ensure you’re using the right type of paper for printing. Some papers are not suited for certain printing types.
7. Perform a Printer Alignment
- Run the printer alignment utility to ensure the print head is aligned correctly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
