8710 - All in one
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Bought this 8710 brand new in mid 2019 for personal use, purchased ink as well as sales person said it did not come with ink which it actually did.  I am not a heavy user.

 

Got message that ink was in all color cartridges, but black OK.  I get the yellow triangle on the color cartridges, but printer still worked.  Today I replaced all the color cartridges with the ink I purchased when I purchased the printer.  I immediately got the "red circle with the dash inside" as my new error code, and could not print.

 

Tried all suggested troubleshooting, remove and replace cartridges a couple of times, clean contacts, unplug printer, and nothing worked.  Plugging in the old cartridges changed the error code back to the yellow triangle (empty).  Used the scan doctor and it told me the ink was empty (with the old cartridges) and gave a device error.  With the new cartridges installed, scan doctor showed green checks (all systems go) across the board.  But when asked to print a test page, nothing prints.

 

Sorry for being long winded, but would really appreciate suggestions.
