Hi @jcsmith55,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP MFP m277dw is printing photos with a green overtint, there are several potential causes and troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check Printer Settings: Make sure your printer settings are configured correctly for photo printing. Ensure that the paper type and size settings match the paper you are using.
  • Color Calibration: Perform a color calibration on your printer. Many printers have built-in calibration tools or software that can help adjust the color output.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause color issues.
  • Check Ink Levels: Low ink levels, especially in certain cartridges like magenta, can affect color accuracy. Check your ink levels and replace any cartridges that are low.
  • Use High-Quality Paper: Low-quality or incompatible paper may not absorb ink properly, leading to color issues. Try using high-quality photo paper specifically designed for inkjet printers.
  • Clean Print Heads: Print heads can become clogged over time, affecting color accuracy. Most printers have a utility for cleaning print heads. Run this utility to see if it improves print quality.
  • Adjust Color Settings: Experiment with adjusting color settings in your printer's software or in the printing preferences of your computer. You may be able to manually adjust the color balance to correct the green overtint.
  • Test with Different Software: Try printing the same photo using different software applications to see if the issue is specific to one program.

By systematically checking and adjusting these factors, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the green overtint issue with your HP MFP m277dw printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
