I have had some issues for a while with the quality output of my printer.  I am currently on an instant ink agreement.  my printer is out of warranty.  I attempted to print a word document and every other line is missing. I have followed all the guidance; attempted to download firmware update just in case but once downloaded and it has recognised my printer it is not giving me the option to select it as it states the firmware is up to date. I have the HP smart app. I have run the print and scan doctor.  the various pages that have printed off during print quality diagnostics to align cartridges indicate that there is an issue - the quality is really poor but my app is stating that i have sufficient black and coloured ink.  I have tried cleaning cartridges via tools but all to no avail.  I have even tried cleaning the encoder strip without success.  Hopeful for any advice you can provide.

I understand the print quality is not satisfactory. To assist you better, what model printer are you using?
