Solved!

Magenta ink cartridge skips same spots on the page every time

My magenta keep printing with gaps in it in the same places over & over.  I'm attaching the print quality diagnostics page.  I tried calibrating the linefeed, aligning the printheads, cleaning the print heads (multiple times), and replacing the magenta cartridge with a brand new one, and I get the same results every time.

I saw somewhere that I could replace the print heads (or something like that), but they cost as much as a new printer.  Is my printer shot or is it repairable within reasonable cost?

Figured out why the quality report wouldn't post.  I've masked out the serial number so that it will p[ass HP's filters.  Let's try again...

@Micktee, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand the print quality is not satisfactory. Thank you for attaching the print quality report. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Fixing Print Quality Problems, and the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue either with the printhead or the printer.

Yes, the printhead is costlier and it may or may not be available.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer than buying a printhead. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
