My 3050 printer, Printing in B/W it prints only half a page...

If your HP DeskJet 3050 printer is only printing half a page in black & white, there are several potential causes. Here’s a step-by-step troubleshooting guide to help you resolve the issue:
 

🔧Check Ink Cartridge Levels

  • Ensure that your black ink cartridge isn't low or empty.
  • You can check the ink levels from the printer control panel or through the HP Smart app.
  • If the ink is low or empty, replace the cartridge.

🧼Clean Printhead

Partial prints often indicate a clogged printhead. Here’s how to clean it:

  • Use the printer menu to navigate to:
    • Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead
  • Alternatively, you can do this via the HP Smart app:
    • Go to Printer Settings > Tools > Clean Cartridges.
  • Let the cleaning process run, then try printing again.

🔍Try a Print Quality Diagnostic Page

This helps determine if the issue is with the printer hardware or software:

  • From the control panel or app, go to:
    • Settings > Tools > Print Quality Report.
  • Check the printed report for any faded or missing sections in the black areas.

🖨️Reinstall or Update the Driver

An outdated or corrupted driver may be causing the issue:

  1. Visit the HP Software & Drivers page.
  2. Search for “DeskJet 3050” and download the latest driver for your operating system.
  3. Uninstall the old driver before reinstalling the new one.

🔌Power Reset

Performing a power reset can sometimes resolve printing issues:
