I have an Envy 4500 all-in-one printer that has been just fine.  Today I installed an Instant Ink cartridge designed for this machine (a 61/301 color cartridge and the printer notes that it is incompatable and cannot connect to it.  When I re-install the old (near empty) cartridge it reads it just fine.  I think I have a bad cartridge but I cannot figure out how to contact a reall person to fix the problem.

I do not see your printer on this list

 

If you discontinued your instant ink subscription then they cannot be used.  You must obtain Original or refilled HP cartridges.

 

To check if an HP ink cartridge is genuine, look for a security label on the cartridge, scan the QR code on the label with your phone, and then go to HP's website hp.com/go/ok to verify the serial number on the label; if the label appears tampered or the serial number doesn't validate, the cartridge is likely not genuine.
