HI @CrePress,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Printing streaks in color can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix the issue. Here’s a detailed guide to help you resolve streaks in your HP 8030 printer:

Step 1: Check the Ink Levels

  1. On the printer's control panel, navigate to the "Ink Levels" or "Estimated Ink Levels" menu.Check if any of the color cartridges are low or empty. Replace any low or empty cartridges.

Step 2: Clean the Printhead

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the "Setup" or "Settings" menu.Select "Printer Maintenance" or a similar option
  • Select "Clean Printhead" and follow the on-screen instructions. The printer will run a cleaning cycle. This may take a few minutes.:
  • After cleaning, print a test page to check if the streaks are gone. You may need to run the cleaning cycle multiple times.

Step 3: Align the Printhead

  • Go to the "Setup" or "Settings" menu on the printer’s control panel.Select "Printer Maintenance" or a similar option.
  • Select "Align Printhead" and follow the instructions. The printer will print an alignment page. Follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the alignment.

Step 4: Manually Clean the Printhead

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.:Open the printer to access the printhead and cartridges.
  • If your printer allows it, remove the printhead assembly. Refer to your printer manual for instructions.
  • Use a lint-free cloth and distilled water to gently clean the printhead nozzles. Do not use tap water.
  • Dab the cloth on the nozzles to remove any dried ink or debrisAllow the printhead to dry completely before reinstalling it.
  • Reinstall the printhead and cartridges, then turn the printer back on.

Step 5: Update Printer Firmware

  • Go to the HP Support website and check for firmware updates for your printer model.
  • Download and install any available updates following the provided instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
