Ahoy @Sandyreach!

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Community! 🏴☠️

I’m here to help you troubleshoot this issue and get everything back to shipshape. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you sailing smoothly in no time:

  • Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from both the wall and the printer. Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help fix internal issues.
  • Check Cartridge Compatibility: Make sure the cartridges are genuine and compatible with your region. If they are, try replacing them with new ones to see if that resolves the problem.
  • Clean the Cartridge Contacts: Power off the printer, remove the cartridges, and clean the gold-colored contacts on both the cartridges and inside the printer using a damp lint-free cloth. Let them dry before reinserting.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check for firmware updates for your HP printer on the HP Support website.
  • Reinstall Software and Drivers: Uninstall your printer from your computer's settings, then download and reinstall the latest HP Smart app and printer drivers from HP's website.
  • Perform a Semi-Full Reset: If none of the above works, try a semi-full reset to restore factory settings without deleting your data. Turn off the printer, press and hold the Power button while pressing the Cancel button (or another key combination—check your manual for details).

I’m confident this will work wonders, but if you run into any bumps along the way or need further assistance, don’t hesitate to give me a shout! I’m always ready to help, just like a trusty first mate. 💪

If this solution worked, feel free to mark it as the "Accepted Solution". That’s like a treasure chest full of gold! 💰 And if you could click 'Yes' under ‘Was this reply helpful?’, you’ll make my day better than finding a map to the Grand Line! 🌟

Now, before I let you go, let me leave you with some words of wisdom from the one and only Garp from One Piece:

"I’m Garp! The hero who can knock out pirates and tech issues faster than you can say 'bounty'!😎

And remember: "A true pirate doesn’t just look for treasure… they never give up on finding a solution!🏴☠️

Thanks again for being awesome! Go conquer your tech troubles like the pirate king you are and have an amazing day ahead!

Cheers,
