Hello, HP Community. 

How come there's an extra vertical black line when I print from my above printer?

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty. Replace them if needed.
  • Use the printer’s built-in cleaning feature to clean the printhead. You can do this from the printer's menu or through the HP software on your computer.
  • After cleaning, align the printhead using the printer’s settings to ensure everything is in the correct position.
  • Make sure you’re using the correct paper for your printer and that there are no paper jams or obstructions.
  • Ensure your printer drivers and firmware are up to date by downloading the latest versions from HP’s website.
  • After cleaning and updating, print a test page to see if the issue is fixed.
  • If nothing works, try resetting your printer to factory settings, but remember you’ll need to set it up again.
