If your HP DeskJet 2720 All-in-One Printer is not printing color even with a new cartridge, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

 

Check the Ink Levels: Make sure that the tri-color ink cartridge is installed correctly and has sufficient ink. You can check the ink levels using the HP Smart app.

Align the Printer: After installing a new cartridge, align the printer to ensure proper printing. The alignment process can be initiated through the printer software.

Clean the Printhead: Sometimes, the printhead nozzles may get clogged. Use the "clean printhead" function through the printer software or HP Smart app.

Printer Settings:

  • Make sure the print settings are configured for color printing.
  • Ensure that the paper type is set correctly based on the type of paper you are using.

Run a Test Print:

  • To diagnose the issue further, run a test print to see if the color prints correctly. This can usually be done through the printer settings menu.

Update Printer Software: Ensure you have the latest drivers and software updates installed for your printer. You can download the latest software from the HP support website.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and turn it back on after a few seconds. Sometimes simply restarting the printer can resolve minor issues.

Reinstall Cartridges:

  • Remove and reinstall the tri-color cartridge to ensure it is properly seated.
