Hi @Parslow ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Deskjet 2132 printer is only printing blank pages, there are several potential reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to identify and resolve the problem:

Check Ink Levels:

  • Make sure that your ink cartridges have enough ink. Low or empty cartridges can result in blank pages.

Print a Test Page:

  • Use the printer's built-in test page function to check if it can print anything. Consult your printer's manual for instructions on how to print a test page.

Clean the Print Head:

  • Most printers have a utility for cleaning the print head. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to access and use this feature.

Align the Print Head:

  • Some printers have an alignment function that ensures the print head is correctly aligned. Refer to your printer's manual for information on how to perform this alignment.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the official HP website to download and install the latest drivers.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure that there are no paper jams in the printer. Even a small piece of paper stuck in the printer can disrupt the printing process.

Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges:

  • Using third-party or refilled cartridges might cause issues. Make sure you are using genuine HP ink cartridges.

Restart Printer and Computer:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve communication issues between the printer and computer. Turn off both the printer and your computer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn them back on.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Verify that the printer settings, such as paper type and print quality, are configured correctly. Incorrect settings may lead to blank pages.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • HP provides a diagnostic tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor. Download and run this tool to automatically diagnose and fix printing issues. You can find it on the HP website.

Inspect the Ink Cartridge Contacts:

  • Check the contacts on both the ink cartridges and the corresponding contacts inside the printer. If they are dirty, carefully clean them with a lint-free cloth.
