These ink cartridges are ~2 mos old, more than half of ink remaining according to the printer. I have cleaned them by hand, restarted the printer, and done the all cleaning cycles the printer can do. How do I file a claim for replacements?

Hi @nate421,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your ink cartridges might be clogged or experiencing an issue with ink flow. Since you've already performed cleaning cycles and restarted the printer, try the following steps.

Check Venting on Cartridges

  • Remove the cartridges and inspect the vent holes (usually near the label).
  • If they are clogged with dried ink or adhesive, carefully clear them with a pin or needle.

Manual Soaking for Clogged Printheads

If the ink is still not flowing correctly:

  1. Remove the ink cartridges and gently dab the nozzles on a damp paper towel.
  2. Let them sit with the nozzle side down on a damp paper towel for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Reinstall the cartridges and try printing again.

Check for Firmware or Software Issues

  • If this started after a firmware update, check if rolling back the firmware is an option.
  • Try printing from a different device to see if the issue persists.

Try a Different Ink Cartridge

  • If possible, test with a new or different cartridge to rule out a faulty batch.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
