I have a HP ENVY 6000 series, half a year old.. the pages are printing blank ..but the test pages come out perfect !!

Status shows as READY..  Help!!

If your HP ENVY 6022e All-in-One Printer prints a perfect test page but prints blank pages from your computer, the issue is likely software-related, not hardware or ink-related.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to resolve it:

Confirm You're Using Genuine HP Cartridges

  • Since the test page prints fine, ink is reaching the paper. But it's worth checking if non-HP cartridges are being blocked by firmware/Instant Ink restrictions.  


Use HP Smart App to Print a Document

  • Open the HP Smart app and try printing a PDF or image directly from the app.
  • If this works, the issue is with your computer's print path, not the printer itself.

Update/Reinstall the Printer Driver

Corrupted drivers often cause blank printouts.

To reinstall the driver:

  1. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners
  2. Select your HP printer > Click Remove Device
  3. Restart your PC
  4. Go to HP ENVY 6022e Drivers Page and download the latest Full Feature Software for Windows 11.
  5. Reinstall using that package

Change Print Settings in Application

If you're printing from Word, PDF, or browser:

  • Try printing from a different app (like Notepad or WordPad).
  • Check if the print dialog is set to grayscale or using manual duplex, which sometimes triggers printing issues.

Bypass Spooler Issues

Try printing directly to the printer:

  1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
  2. Right-click your printer > Printer Properties
  3. Go to Advanced tab
  4. Select Print directly to the printer instead of spooling
  5. Click OK and try printing again

Disable “Use Printer Offline”

Make sure this is unchecked:

  • Right-click printer icon in Devices and Printers
  • Select See what's printing
  • In the window, click Printer > Uncheck Use Printer Offline

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download it from this link.
  • Let it diagnose and automatically fix driver and print queue issues
