Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8710
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
When I print photos on my HP OfficeJet Pro  (on HP Photo paper), there are a series of parallel vertical scratches on the paper.

 

The scratches are vertical (same direction the paper is exiting the printer) so I think the rollers are scratching the photos.

 

How can I / should I fix this?

We can try the steps from the paper jam error document to isolate this issue. Follow the steps from the document Paper Jam Error.

 

Also, check the printer specifications once again to see if the paper type is supported- Printer Specifications for HP OfficeJet Pro 8700 Printers
