Hi @Chiranjit2,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check for Obstructions:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Carefully inspect the carriage path for any obstructions such as pieces of paper or other objects.
- Remove any obstructions found.
Reset the Printer:
- Press the power button to turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the power source.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the power source and turn on the printer.
Check and Properly Install Cartridges:
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Wait until the carriage stops moving before you continue.
- Make sure each ink cartridge is properly installed and not sticking out farther than the other ink cartridges. If a cartridge is sticking out, push it until it snaps into place.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Remove the cartridges from the carriage.
- Lightly dampen a lint-free cloth with distilled water, and then wipe the copper-colored contacts on each cartridge.
- Clean the electrical contacts inside the carriage.
- Wait for the contacts to dry, then reinsert the cartridges into their designated slots.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
I hope this helps.
