1. Check Power and Connections

  • Ensure the Printer is On: Make sure your printer is powered on and that the power cord is securely connected.
  • Check USB/Wi-Fi Connection: If you’re using a USB connection, ensure that the cable is firmly connected to both the printer and the computer. If it’s a wireless connection, ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

2. Check for Error Messages

  • Look for Alerts: Check the printer’s display for any error messages or blinking lights. If there are specific error codes, consult the user manual or HP’s support website for guidance.

3. Inspect Ink Levels

  • Check Ink Cartridges: Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink. Replace any cartridges that are low or empty.

7. Restart Devices

  • Power Cycle the Printer and Computer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Restart your computer. After a few minutes, plug the printer back in and turn it on.

8. Check Printer Settings

  • Default Printer: Ensure that your HP ENVY 4527 is set as the default printer in your computer’s settings. Go to Devices and Printers, right-click on the printer, and select Set as default printer.
  • Print Preferences: Check the print preferences to ensure that the correct paper size and type are selected.

9. Test with Another Document or Device
