Hi @Helen1on1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems that your HP Smart Tank 519 Wireless All-in-One printer is showing a printer head issue and is currently frozen. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue.

Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.
  • Check if the error persists after rebooting.

Check the Printhead Installation

  • Open the printer access door to check if the printhead is properly installed.
  • Ensure that both the black and tri-color printheads are securely seated in their designated slots.
  • If they seem loose, push them firmly into place until you hear a click.

Clean the Printhead Contacts

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Carefully remove the printheads.
  • Using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water, gently clean the electrical contacts (the copper-colored parts) on the printhead and inside the printer.
  • Allow the contacts to dry, reinsert the printhead, and power on the printer.

Update Printer Firmware

  • If your printer is still functional enough to connect to your computer, check for any available firmware updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve hardware-related errors.

Reset the Printer

  • If nothing works, try resetting the printer to factory settings. Refer to the printer’s manual for instructions on how to reset the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
