Hi @Gunkash,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Smart Tank 516 Wireless All-In-One Printer. Printing problems can occur for various reasons, and it can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Make sure that your ink or toner cartridges have sufficient ink. Low ink levels can lead to faded or blank pages.

Clean Print Heads:

  • If your printer has an option to clean the print heads, try running this utility. It can help remove any clogs or dried ink that might be affecting print quality.

Print Quality Settings:

  • Adjust the print quality settings in your printer's software or settings menu. Sometimes, selecting a higher print quality can improve output.

Paper Quality:

  • Ensure you're using the correct type and quality of paper for your printer. Low-quality or incompatible paper can lead to printing issues.

Alignment and Calibration:

  • Check if your printer has an alignment or calibration function. Running this can help improve print accuracy.

Update or Reinstall Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. If not, download and install them from the HP website. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing problems.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Firmware updates can sometimes address printing issues.

Inspect the Cartridges:

  • Remove the ink cartridges and inspect them for any protective seals or tape that might still be attached. Remove any obstructions or protective materials.

Clean the Printer:

  • Dust and debris inside the printer can also affect print quality. Gently clean the inside of the printer with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Test with Different Documents and Programs:

  • Try printing different types of documents from different programs to see if the issue persists. Sometimes, the problem can be related to the document or software.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
