My printer will not print in color, even though I am telling it to print in color. I looked to see if everything is assigned color and I cannot see where I told anything to print in black-and-white only I have enough ink in my cartridges. I have instant ink I was looking to see if perhaps that cartridges were expired, but it says everything is good. How can I troubleshoot?

Hi @Koko14ko,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand how confusing it can be when your printer won’t print in color despite everything looking fine.

To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information.

  1. Have you recently updated your printer driver or software?
  2. Does the printer print in color from all applications, or is it specific to certain programs or documents?
  3. Are you enrolled in the instant ink program?

Once we know that, we can explore further steps to resolve it!

May I have the exact name and product number of the unit? Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
