My printer is not printing in color even though I’m telling it to print in color what is happening I

My printer will not print in color, even though I am telling it to print in color. I looked to see if everything is assigned color and I cannot see where I told anything to print in black-and-white only I have enough ink in my cartridges. I have instant ink I was looking to see if perhaps that cartridges were expired, but it says everything is good. How can I troubleshoot?
