HP OfficeJet Pro 6968
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 6968) just goes through the motions but pages come out blank. I just replaced all of my ink cartridges.  All updates have been done. No error messages.  No paper jams.  Connected to the internet.  What's the issue??

To better assist you - 

 

1) Does the copy print out the same way? 

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

 

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -

  1. load plain white paper in the input tray.

  2. From the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

  3. Open the Reports or Tools menu.

  4. Touch Print Quality Report.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

 Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hi,

 

Thank you for your response and offering help.  Currently I have tried printing from several sources (a Windows PC, a mobile device, a Google Chromebook, and the copy function, to name a few) and the results are the same....blank pages. I also tried to do the update again, and I think it updated, but still no change in the outcome.  Although  I just replaced all of my ink in the last two weeks, could it be possible that they're dry because I haven't used my printer in awhile prior to that?

As this is a hardware issue, I’d recommend you contact HP Phone Support in your region regarding service options for your printer.

 

Follow the instructions below to reach them:

 

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 

6)Fill the web-form and proceed further.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

I’m having this same issue and my printer warranty is expired. I just want to know how to fix this so I can print again. I still had ink in my old cartridge and replaced it with a brand new one. I was getting faded and botched prints at first but now I’m getting blank pages. No errors, jams or anything like that. Just goes through printing process and does not actually put the ink on paper anymore.

  1. Load U.S. letter or A4 size, unused, plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

    The Setup menu displays.

  3. Touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.
