Hi @ABCSandy,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are installing Adobe Photoshop could potentially be the reason your HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer is printing darker and blurrier photos. Photoshop and similar photo editing software often manage color profiles and print settings differently from basic print settings, which could affect how colors and images are printed.
Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and fix this issue:
1. Check Photoshop Print Settings
- Color Management: When printing from Photoshop, ensure that the color management settings are correct.
- Go to File > Print in Photoshop, and check the Color Management section.
- Make sure you select "Photoshop Manages Colors" if you want Photoshop to control the color profile. You can also try using "Printer Manages Colors" to see if it makes a difference.
- Ensure the correct printer profile is selected under Printer Profile. You can choose a profile that matches your printer and the paper you're using.
2. Update Printer Driver and Software
- Make sure you have the latest drivers and software for your HP ENVY Photo 7155. You can check for updates on the HP Support website.
3. Check Printer Settings
- Go to the printer properties and check for any print settings that might affect photo quality.
- Access the printer settings on your computer by going to Devices and Printers, right-clicking your printer, and selecting Printing Preferences.
- Check that the print quality is set to high or photo quality and that the correct paper type is selected.
4. Run Printer Diagnostics and Maintenance
- Perform a printhead cleaning and alignment through the printer software or the printer's control panel. This can help improve print quality if the printheads are clogged or misaligned.
- Print a test page to check if the issue persists outside of Photoshop.
5. Test Printing from Another Program
- Try printing the same photo from another program, like the built-in Photos app in Windows, to see if the issue is specific to Photoshop or a more general problem with the printer.
6. Calibrate Monitor and Printer
- Ensure your monitor is calibrated correctly, as this affects how you see the colors before printing. Adobe Photoshop’s color settings can sometimes affect how images appear and print if the monitor isn’t properly calibrated.
- You may also want to use a printer calibration tool or check if the printer offers any built-in calibration options.
7. Reset Photoshop Print Settings
- In Photoshop, reset your print settings to default. Go to File > Print, then hold down the Spacebar while clicking the Print button. This resets the print dialog settings to default.
8. Reinstall the Printer Driver and Software
- If none of the above steps work, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the printer driver and software. Sometimes, driver conflicts can cause print quality issues.

I hope this helps.
