Hi @Eastblood58,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your printer is printing everything in pink, it typically indicates an issue with the color balance or a problem with the cartridges. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Cartridge Installation:
- Ensure that all cartridges (including the yellow one) are installed correctly. Remove them and reseat them to make sure they’re properly connected.
2. Run Printhead Cleaning:
- Use the printer’s maintenance menu to run a printhead cleaning cycle. This can help clear any clogs in the nozzles that may affect color output.
3. Print a Test Page:
- Print a test page or color diagnostic page. This can help you identify which colors are not printing correctly.
4. Check for Clogs:
- Manually inspect the printhead (if removable) for any dried ink or clogs. Clean it gently with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab dipped in distilled water.
5. Replace Low or Empty Cartridges:
- Even if the cartridges appear to have ink, they may be faulty or not functioning properly. Consider replacing any cartridge that is low or showing signs of damage.
6. Adjust Color Settings:
- Check your print settings. Ensure that the color management settings on your computer or in the print dialog are set to print in color and not grayscale.
7. Firmware Updates:
- Check for any firmware updates for your printer. Sometimes, updates can resolve issues related to printing.
8. Use Genuine Cartridges:
- If you are using third-party cartridges, consider switching to genuine HP cartridges, as compatibility issues can lead to color problems.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
