I have an HP printer MFP M277c6. My printer will no longer print with the cyan. The cyan ink cartridge is full and seems to be a different brand.

Hi @KMac5588,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure that the cyan cartridge is compatible with your HP MFP M277c6 printer. Third-party or non-HP cartridges can sometimes cause issues related to print quality and compatibility.
  • Consider replacing the cartridge with a genuine HP cartridge to see if this resolves the issue.

Inspect Cartridge Installation:

  • Remove and reinstall the cyan cartridge to ensure it's properly seated in the printer. Make sure the protective tape or cover is removed from the cartridge's nozzle before installation.

Run a Cleaning Cycle:

  • Use the printer’s maintenance menu to run a cleaning cycle for the printheads. This can help clear any blockages that might be affecting cyan printing.

Print Quality Diagnostic Report:

  • Access your printer’s control panel and try printing a Print Quality Diagnostic Report. This can help identify if the issue is with the cartridge or the printer’s printing system.

Firmware Update:

  • Check for firmware updates for your printer model on the HP Support website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve print quality issues.

Check Settings:

  • Verify that your print settings on the computer or device are configured to print in color.
  • Ensure that the application you are printing from is not overriding color settings.

Visual Inspection:

  • Carefully inspect the cyan cartridge for visible damage or leaks. Defective cartridges might be full but can still have performance issues.

I hope this helps.
