I have a HP Officejet Pro 6830. Last week it started printing pink lines on anything I print. I tried a google search and the only suggestion I could find was to try and change the print cartridge. I did that and it is still doing the same thing. I've attached a picture so you can see what it is doing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @HansellPainting,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The issue with your HP Officejet Pro 6830 printer printing pink "highlighter" lines can be caused by several factors, including printhead issues, software glitches, or hardware problems. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this issue.
Clean the Printhead
Automatic Printhead Cleaning:
- On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the cleaning process.
Manual Printhead Cleaning:
- Turn on the printer and open the ink cartridge access door.
- Wait for the carriage to move to the center.
- Remove the printhead carefully.
- Clean the printhead nozzles with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
- Reinsert the printhead and cartridges.
Align the Printhead
- On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.
Update Printer Firmware and Drivers
- Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
- Download and install the latest firmware and drivers for your printer.
Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn on the printer.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the wall outlet.
- Turn on the printer.

Check for Obstructions
- Open the printer and inspect for any paper or debris that might be obstructing the printhead path.
- Remove any obstructions carefully.
Check Printer Settings
- Ensure that the print settings are correct and not set to use a color profile that might cause the issue.
- Go to the print dialog box on your computer and check the settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
