Hi @PeterWLV,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To find the "Clean Jets" or "Clean Printheads" operation in the HP app for your HP 6523 photo printer, follow these general steps. Please note that the exact steps may vary slightly depending on the version of the HP app you are using.
- Open the HP Smart App: Ensure that your printer and smartphone or tablet are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and then open the HP Smart app on your mobile device.
- Select Your Printer: After opening the app, it should automatically detect your HP 6523 printer. If not, tap the "+" symbol or "Add Printer" to add and select your printer from the list of available devices.
- View Printer Options: Once your printer is selected, you should see various options and settings for your printer within the app.
- Maintenance or Tools: Look for a "Maintenance" or "Tools" section in the app. This is where you'll typically find options like "Clean Jets" or "Clean Printheads."
- Clean Jets or Printheads: Within the Maintenance or Tools section, you should see an option to "Clean Jets" or "Clean Printheads." Tap on this option to start the cleaning process.
- Follow On-Screen Instructions: The app will guide you through the steps to clean the printheads. This usually involves printing a test page and then initiating the cleaning process. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully.
- Complete the Cleaning: Allow the printer to complete the cleaning process. It may take a few minutes, and the printer may print multiple pages during the process.
- Test Printing: After the cleaning is complete, try printing a test page or a document to check if the issue has been resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
